Boehringer Ingelheim has launched in Ireland a new 10g presentation of its Mamyzin Injection mastitis treatment to
provide a more convenient way of treating cows of 670kg or more.
Mamyzin Injection is an effective treatment for mastitis caused by penicillin-sensitive organisms, according to the company. It delivers persistent and high levels of bactericidal penicillin to all four quarters, and maintains the antibacterial activity when given daily over a four-day course of treatment. It can also be used to treat sub-clinical mastitis and has been shown to be effective when used to control mastitis in heifers.
